Reflecting back on the challenges the industry has faced, I am confident that without our totally engaged GR Program and victories in water and air rules our industry could have virtually been destroyed. I am proud through my membership in NASF to have supported this program.

NASF Washington Forum: An Overwhelming Success

Attendees called last week's Washington Forum "one of the best yet!" With nearly 100 participants and over 20 expert speakers, the program focused on strategic issues and immediate priorities for finishing operations and companies in the finishing supply chain.

What did participants take away from the Forum? See some of the feedback below...
"As a new member to NASF, I am very impressed with the quality of the information at the Forum. I look forward to getting more involved."
"Attending the NASF Forum is one of the best investments I will make this year."
"This was a great meeting. I was hesitant to attend because time away from the shop...I was able to come back to my shop with ideas learned from other owners. I took back practical ideas that will save my shop money."
"I am guilty of not being involved, but I am very happy I came."
"It is imperative to learn the issues that affect my business and the industry early on to develop strategies to take on the changing regulatory and political climate."
If you missed it, plan on coming next year, or attend SUR/FIN to hear more discussion on critical issues raised at the Forum:

  • Nickel regulation & European Union REACH mandates;
  • New USEPA action plans targeting fume suppressants in finishing;
  • Sweeping chemicals regulatory changes emerging in the U.S. Congress;
  • Strategies to shape the future of U.S. manufacturing and surface finishing;
  • Sustainability considerations for surface technology; and much more...
