Reflecting back on the challenges the industry has faced, I am confident that without our totally engaged GR Program and victories in water and air rules our industry could have virtually been destroyed. I am proud through my membership in NASF to have supported this program.

Work Towards Obtaining Master Surface Finisher (MSF)

The AESF Foundation offers all core and optional courses for anyone interested in the "Master Surface Finisher" (MSF) certification program, in addition to the exam for "Certified Electroplater-Finisher" (CEF) certification. In order to achieve CEF certification parts one and two of the Electroplating and Surface Finishing exam must be passed. Ideally, if an individual were to start with being a CEF, the logical progression up through CEF levels would be as follows:

Steps to Certification

CEF Upon successful completion of Electroplating and Surface Finishing (Parts 1 and 2) exam

CEF-2 Upon successful completion of CEF exam plus one core or optional exam

CEF-3 Upon successful completion of CEF exam plus two core or optional exams

CEF-4 Upon successful completion of CEF exam plus three core or optional exams

CEF-5 Upon successful completion of CEF exam plus four core/optional exam combinations

MSF Upon successful completion of all four core exams plus two optional exams.

Note: If English is your second langauge, addtional time will be given to complete exams and you will be allowed
to use a translation  dictionary.

"I still use your AESF electroplating and surface finishing course material regularly. Looking back, that was probably the best technical training course that I have ever taken."  - Gary Henrich, Swagelok
