As a business owner, I am always looking for ways to maximize my company’s exposure in the market. NASF has provided us with these opportunities through networking events, volunteer involvement on committees/boards and interaction with key leaders in the job/captive shop industry.

The AESF Foundation is a 501(c)(3) educational organization that focuses on technical education programs to advance the science and technology of surface finishing.   Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible for income tax purposes.

Message from the President:

Welcome to the AESF Foundation, the surface finishing resource for individuals!  The educational resources of the Foundation, as stated in its mission above, are even more valuable today during these changing times. The dissemination of our industry’s knowledge is essential to advancement for an individual and an industry.  As a member, you can take advantage of the Foundation’s many activities and the resources available through the NASF and AESF’s websites.

The Foundation offers a wide verity of continually updated Educational Courses that can be taken in a classroom environment or through home study.  These courses are designed to enhance skills in a specific topic or can lead to a nationally recognized CEF or MSF certificate demonstrating a broad understanding of surface finishing knowledge. Education makes us more valuable to our current or future employer.  It also makes our work experience more personally satisfying. To stimulate the advancement of our science and technology, the Foundation grants Scholarships to individuals and Research Grants to recognized research institutions for work in surface finishing.

Networking might be the most valuable resource available through participation in the Foundation.  Knowing the right person can save valuable time in obtaining an answer to a question, the latest products or finding a job.  On a purely economical basis, the answer to one question can be more valuable to you and your employer than the cost of participating in AESF Foundation activities.  Associating with a wide variety of people in your own industry who are facing similar challenges can also be personally satisfying.

Best Regards,
